Venue: Oliver Woods Community Centre, 6000 Oliver Road, Nanaimo
Events: Women’s Doubles, Men’s Doubles, Mixed Doubles & Singles
Skill levels offered 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5+ subject to number of entries
Registration: Divisions are full. Email nanaimopickleball@gmail.com if you would like to be put on the waiting list as a spare.
Format: Round Robin (approximately 6 games subject to number of entries per division) going to knockout round
Schedule: Women’s Doubles, Men’s Doubles – Sat. June 24, 8:00am to 5:00pm
Mixed Doubles, Singles – Sun, June 25, 8:00am to 5:00pm
Entry Fee: $30.00 plus $5.00 per person per event
Lunch: Included for registered players
Waiver: Please note all players and volunteers will be required to sign a waiver

2017 IFP Bainbridge Cup Madrid, Spain September 13-17, 2017

2017 IFP Bainbridge Cup
The 2017 IPF Bainbridge Cup tournament will be held September 13-17, 2017 in Madrid, Spain. Registration for this event is now open.

BAINBRIDGE CUP OVERVIEW:

  • The “Bainbridge Cup” is a Team Competition featuring “Team North America” versus “Team Europe”.
  • A third Team (a “Rest of the World” Team) is also expected to participate.
  • Teams will be formed by “ALL” players who register for this event.
  • This “Cup” is the inaugural event of the International Federation of Pickleball.
  • The Bainbridge Cup will be an annual event. The winning Team of the 2017 Bainbridge Cup will defend its title in the 2nd Annual Bainbridge Cup in 2018.
  •  There will be three consecutive days of competition at the same location: September 15, 16 and 17, 2017.
  • COMPETITION FORMAT:

    • Team Competition: Europe versus North America
    • A third Team (a “Rest of the World” Team) is also expected to participate
    • Men’s, Women’s, and Mixed Doubles
    • Age/Skill-Based Competition
    • 19+, 50+, 65+, 70+, 75+, 80+
    • One-Day Event
    • All players will play multiple matches throughout the day
    • Each match is worth points for your team (Europe, North America, Rest of the World)
    • Limited to 250 participants
    • IFP sanctioning rules will apply.

Events: 1) Novices up to level 3.0* men (12 teams), women (12 teams), mixed (24 teams) 2) Levels 3.5-4.0* men (16 teams), women (24 teams), mixed (24 teams) 3) Open men (4 teams), women (4 teams), mixed (8 teams)
Cost: VRPA members $30 registration person plus $20 per team, per event Public $45 registration per person plus $20 per team, per event Food: Fruit, coffee, and water will be provided for players.
